LaShelle Hill, Therapist

(MS, LPC)

Are you or a loved one struggling emotionally? A survivor of a traumatic event?  Unable to cope? Going through a life change? Grieving? Feeling overwhelmed or “stuck”?  Dealing with my many life struggles has motivated me to follow a path to help others. My passion for counseling has proven to be a great step towards helping others redirect and regain control of their lives.  Let’s collaborate in taking this step to drop some of the things that continue to weigh you down; hence, “it’s not the load that breaks you, but the way you carry it” (Lena Horne).

I offer a direct approach while being non judgmental, empathetic, and understanding in order to work jointly with you to help you explore and discover your unknown strengths/potential, learn coping skills, self love, stress management, empowerment, inner peace, change and/or healing while providing you with a safe environment to do so.  I’ve worked in inpatient, outpatient and hospital settings with individuals, families and groups and I am open and receptive to those of various ages (children and adults), faiths, ethnicities, sexual orientation and genders. In order to meet the specific needs of each client, I offer an Eclectic Therapeutic Approach. I specialize in Trauma/PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and Grief, but enjoy working with individuals impacted by other issues as well.  Remember, “we may encounter many defeats but we must not be defeated” (Maya Angelou).
