Culture

Culture is everything at Chenal. We’re adamant that our professional community is more than just a workplace. We’re determined to create a place where individuals can find the best version of themselves, sand down the edges through intimacy and vulnerability, and create friendships and memories that bring harmony into our lives.

To achieve this, we demand that our team members “live what we sell,” avoid gossip and triangulation and destroy fear through inclusion. We talk about the relationship between privilege and diversity, we provide leadership training experiences for anyone who is interested, and we provide structured hangout opportunities (and even travel) to foster close relationships.

Diversity

CFT believes that diversity should be far more than a goal within an organization. It should be a symptom of a connected community of people. It is built on curiosity about one another, a willingness to see how every individual holds some sort of privilege, and how unaddressed fears lead to silos and cliques.

CFT does not train diversity. We foster an intentional community where we talk about the similarities and differences that can make it hard to work alongside one another.

Specialization

We love passionate specialists. People who stay up late at night reading articles about certain issues, populations or techniques. We believe these specialists are far better suited than a general practitioner to help our clients achieve the progress they’re longing for.

Over the years, we’ve built an incredible team of collaborative clinicians and administrative staff who lean on each others’ expertise to achieve a synergistic outcome for those we serve.

Data-Driven

That which is measured can be improved. CFT strives to continually improve every aspect of who we are, from our clinical outcomes to our employee engagement. We believe data and metrics should be embraced to help identify strengths, blind spots, and opportunities within our organization.

Clinical Autonomy and Safety Nets

CFT believes that clinicians often have to choose between the autonomy of private practice and the operational safety of working for a large organization. We strive to allow clinicians to be clinicians, giving them the freedom to choose when, how and with whom they work.

We do this while simultaneously removing the guesswork and risk associated with private practice. We sincerely believe that most clinicians can earn more, with less effort, within the structure we provide.

Compensation and Benefits

CFT Chenal Family Therapy PLC is passionate about providing industry leading compensation for our clinicians and administrative team. While we do not believe that money buys happiness, we also believe that it makes the pursuit of happiness significantly cheaper.

For full-time clinicians, our total compensation and benefits package ranges between 65-80% of what the revenue a clinician generates, depending on licensure level and which benefits options are utilized. This means the typical clinician on our team earns nearly 50% more than their current agency position or 10-25% more than their current solo private practice, all while working 10+ hours less per week.

For administrative team members, Chenal Family Therapy is passionate about paying a living wage and ensuring wage equality among all parallel team members. This means that new admin team members starting pay is $24,000/year, depending on position and experience, with three weeks paid flex time for full-time admin staff.

All full-time employees are eligible to participate in our matching retirement plan, flexible spending account for health and childcare, and to purchase health insurance (partially paid by CFT), as well as dental and vision.
