Kimberly Evans, Intern

My name is Kimberly Evans and I am new to Chenal Therapy. I have a BSE from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and an MSE in school counseling from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas where I am finishing my LAC licensure. I have been teaching for over 13 years ranging from early childhood to adult education. My experiences have helped me to see that my heart is in counseling. So many of my students struggle in school when they are very capable to do well and even excel. They just need someone to listen and care about them. Many students have come to me through the years with personal or family concerns and they have often told me that I should be a counselor. I eventually agreed with them and jumped in with both feet. I am so excited about this next chapter of my life and all the people I will meet.
