Joey Morningstar, Therapist

(Assistant Clinical Director, Fayetteville, LPC)

I believe our relationships are the source of our greatest joy and our most painful wounds. As a counselor, my goal is to provide patience and freedom for individuals to explore the way they relate to themselves and the world around them. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages as they confront barriers to their well-being. I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and developmental irregularities. My approach is person-centered and trauma-informed. I often use movement-based interventions and experiential techniques to alter problematic response patterns.

I have graduate degrees in clinical mental health and in theology. Playful engagement is central to who I am as a person and as a therapist. In my free time I enjoy cooking, biking, and exploring the outdoors with my family.
