Elizabeth Knight, Therapist

(LPC)

I am passionate and honored to share in the therapeutic journey with clients from diverse backgrounds and to assist them to find comfort and support on their path of healing and growth. When I consider the relationship between a therapist and a client, I want to offer a supportive and nonjudgmental setting to allow a client to address their personal challenges by exploring their thoughts and emotions at their own pace. While gradually exploring additional layers of their concerns to allow them to find a path to a more authentic and satisfying life. I want to provide empathy for clients while empowering them in ways to grow and achieve their goals. I want those seeking comfort and support with their concerns, such as difficulties within their relationships, life stresses, past hurts, depression, anxiety, grief, loss, anger and seasons of change with difficulty decisions to feel accepted and supported.

I have been providing individual and family therapy services for over 18 years by using a Person Centered approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach to provide empathy and an environment to empower others. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Henderson State University. Since becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2005, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults and their families in a hospital, residential, school based and an outpatient clinical setting. I have over 22 years of experience in the mental health field.
