Dr. Mark Andersen, Medication Management

I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences receiving my MD in 1990. I completed my psychiatry residency and child fellowship at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 1995. Since that time I have actively engaged in treatment of children, adolescents and adults in a variety of treatment settings. My areas of interest include anxiety disorders, trauma, depression and attachment. I offer a multifaceted approach to treatment with emphasis on knowledge, understanding and insight into your mental health issues. I practice medication management with the intent of maximizing benefits and minimizing side effects.

I bring a very personalized and positive approach to my practice with special attention to kindness, personal growth, connection and mindfulness. I am the proud father of two adult daughters and a grandfather. In my free time I enjoy reading, particularly history and biography. I also enjoy cooking and fishing.
