Connie Dyer, Therapist
(LCSW)
My goals as a therapist include increasing my client’s ability to be the best person they can be from their perspective. Client strengths and their ability to recognize them are my focus in helping them deal with life stressors, negative thoughts, and unwanted behaviors and feelings to improve their sense of strength and efficacy. I use Cognitive Behavioral and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, systems theory, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and many other therapeutic approaches to address current as well as underlying, or core issues, that may present themselves as a roadblock to an individual’s personal success and promote a healthy sense of self. With over twenty-two years of experience, I have extensive practice with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with trauma, the court system and family issues. I have worked as an administrator in several settings and have a wide range of knowledge from life experiences as well as hundreds of hours of additional training to help me to become the best therapist I can be. I graduated with honors from North Arkansas Community College, AA, Arkansas Technical University, BS, and the University of Arkansas, MSW. I am licensed in the state of Arkansas as a Licenses Certified Social Worker.
