Chloe “Cyd” Ward, Medication Management
(MNSc, APRN, PMHNP-BC)
I am a nationally board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I provide diagnosis and treatment for a variety of mental health conditions including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, and schizophrenia. I offer medication management and supportive therapy for clients with a collaborative, holistic, and evidence-based approach.
I understand that being diagnosed with a serious mental illness doesn’t have to define you, but rather is just one component of who you are. I believe in addressing the root cause of an illness whether that be an addiction, childhood trauma, or wellness concerns. I am an empathic listener and care deeply for my patients, colleagues, friends, and family. I attempt to understand another person’s condition from their perspective. I aspire to empower my patients to be tenacious about their personal goals.
I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, constantly seeking ways to improve patient care. I began my journey studying biology at Texas Christian University where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I then earned my MBA and later went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a Master of Nursing Science degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I began my nursing career as a registered nurse on the cardiac unit at St. Vincent’s Infirmary where I learned about chronic medical problems.
I have three adult children and eight grandchildren scattered around the world. When I am not working, I enjoy caring for my 86-yo mother, family time with my children and grandchildren, running, traveling to New Zealand, and playing with my two “therapy” dogs.
