Chelsea Macy, Therapist

(LAC)

Chelsea was born and raised in Arkansas – she LOVES the Natural State! Her husband of six years is a member of the Air Force, so they have lived all over, but there is no place like the South! Her and her husband have two kids together.

Chelsea attended the University of Arkansas to receive her bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders and then pursued her master’s in Middle Childhood Education at University of Arkansas Little Rock. She taught English and social studies for seven years as a middle school teacher. She then pursued another master’s degree from Capella University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With her teaching background, she has a knack for connecting with kids immediately and she strives to meet them where they are at in their mental health journey. Chelsea specializes in trauma, specifically within the pediatric community. She has been trained in TF-CBT, a nationally-accredited therapy orientation that treats trauma symptoms in children and teens. She also has training in play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Chelsea is currently working on her certification in Suicidality. Chelsea also loves working with young adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, and attachment/co-dependency.

In her free time, Chelsea loves cheering on the Razorbacks and Memphis Grizzlies, enjoys traveling to new places, and hanging out with friends and family.
