Victoria “Tori” Reap, Therapist
(LACA)
Navigating the complexities and challenges of childhood and young adulthood can be overwhelming, especially when faced with trauma, life’s hurt, and daily challenges. I am here to offer compassionate, trauma-informed support and guidance to those ready to create meaningful change and improvements in overall well-being.
The current focus of my practice includes working with children (10+), teens, parents, and young adults who are faced with anxiety, depression, self-harm, and behavioral and emotional difficulties. As a therapist, I look to get to the root of issues rather than solely treating symptoms. My therapeutic approach is supportive and straightforward as I desire to aid my clients in processing deep hurts while gaining tangible skills and resources to lead healthy and healed lives. I am trained in evidence-based modalities, such as Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and other play-based interventions, which I frequently utilize in therapy sessions alongside talk therapy.
I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Play Therapy from John Brown University. I have experience working with children, teens, and young adults in school-based, residential, outpatient, and non-profit settings.
When I am not working, I enjoy gardening, hiking, candle making, learning new skills, and laughing with my family.
