Laurie James, Terapeuta

Hi, my name is Laurie James, and I count it a privilege to be able to enjoy a career in which my sole purpose is to help others. After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, I worked as a personal fitness trainer before earning my Master’s degree in Special Education and working as a teacher for Mountain Home Public Schools. My passion for encouraging and investing in the lives of others led me to further my education and earn my Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University to become a mental health therapist.

My goal as a therapist is to create an environment in which clients feel comfortable, understood, and accepted. As someone who has lived in the Twin Lakes area for most of my life, I am beyond motivated to serve those in my community by creating a warm, welcoming, safe space to find the support we all deserve.
