Kellie Cox, Medication Management

(APRN)

I am a dual board certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner with a passion for holistic healing and mental wellness. My advanced practice journey began in primary care pediatrics, where I spent 11 fulfilling years before transitioning to mental healthcare.

I now primarily specialize in pediatric, adolescent, and young adult psychiatry, as well as maternal mental health and developmental pediatrics. I’m dedicated to supporting individuals facing a range of challenges, from anxiety and ADHD to mother’s grappling with fertility issues, postpartum depression, and pregnancy loss. My heart also resonates deeply with survivors of trauma, including sexual assault/abuse, and the military community, as I proudly serve as an Army mom.

Beyond my clinical roles, I’m a registered yoga instructor, certified in the Trauma Conscious Yoga Method and Yoga for Survivors of sexual traumas. This additional dimension allows me to integrate mind-body perspectives into my practice, fostering holistic wellness and healing.

My approach to client interactions is laid back, grounded in warmth and authenticity. In our work together, I prioritize psychoeducation and coping skills, empowering individuals to take an active role in their well-being. Treatment planning is holistic, integrating medications, supplements, and body based therapeutic interventions for a comprehensive and personalized approach to healing.

Above all, my mission is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can feel seen and heard. I wholeheartedly believe in the statement, “In knowledge, there is power; in compassion, there is healing.” I’m dedicated to creating positive impacts in the lives of those I serve, fostering a collaborative and empowering journey toward optimal health and wellness.
