Sarah Garrett-Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arkansas. She is currently a graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at the University of Central Arkansas and is working toward becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor. Sarah lives in Conway with her wife and their 4 children.
Sarah’s 11 years as a law enforcement officer was a strong motivator in her desire to become a counselor. She has always had a passion for helping people. As a foster parent to 18 children over the course of 3 years and as an adoptive mother, she has personal experience with children in foster care, DCFS cases, and adoption.
Sarah is passionate about helping first responders, members of the LGBTQ community, and teens or young adults in the foster care system who struggle with adjustment, trauma, depression, anger, and anxiety. a
