Elmer Evangelista, Intern

Hello, my name is Elmer Evangelista. I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and have two bachelors in Rehabilitation Science and Psychology from Arkansas Tech University. I am currently a graduate student at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville working on obtaining my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Once I complete graduate school, I plan on continuing my clinical career to get my LPC in Arkansas. I have a passion to understand people from all walks of life. Everyone has a unique story to tell that encompasses their lives. I hope I can provide a space where that story can be told. I approach the therapeutic alliance as a collaborative relationship where we work together. I believe while there may be certain aspects of our lives that may become difficult, we have the choice to control our attitudes toward them. In return, we grow and develop ourselves to adapt to the changes in our lives.
