Dr. Justin Powell, Medication Management

Dr. Powell is a board-certified psychiatrist who is licensed to practice medicine in Arkansas. He is experienced in treating a wide range of mental health disorders. These include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, schizophrenia, personality disorders, as well as some co-occurring substance use disorders. Dr. Powell has high regard for evidence-based medicine, the power of active engagement in psychotherapy, and the utility of working as a team with the patient and therapist.

Dr. Powell was born and raised in Little Rock. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Harding University, then earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2010. Also at UAMS, he completed an accredited residency program in General Psychiatry in 2014. He has practiced in both private and public sectors, and at both inpatient and outpatient settings.
