Candi Lowery, Therapist
(LAC)
My primary goal as a therapist is to help individuals become the best and most whole version of themselves. Everyone experiences the stresses of life and those stressors can be challenging causing individuals to feel helpless, overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, out of control, frustrated, and hopeless. However, I am here to share with you that there is hope and that therapy can help overcome these issues and help individuals achieve a sense control over their choices and their life. Furthermore, it is important to also realize that you do not need to be controlled by a serious mental illness to benefit from therapy. I use an integrative approach that includes REBT, PersonCentered, Seeddigging, CBT, and Internal Family Systems. I use these models and approaches to help individuals (kids, adolescents, and adults) to address the underlying dynamics that drive whatever issues and struggles individuals may be facing. I believe that true healing and transformation occurs when working collaboratively with clients and their families to get to the root cause, or source of the struggle, examining what are driving the patterns that no longer serve the clients, not just decreasing the symptoms that are causing the distress. Licensure and colleges: Licensed Associate Counselor, Bachelor of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Walden University, 2021 and Bachelor of Arts in Education, University of Nebraska at Kearney. 1991.
