Most people I meet have the same goals in life: Be happy, have fun, and get the most you can out of life in the time that you’re given. Unfortunately, things can sometimes get in the way of those goals, and a lot of times its us! I’d like to work with you, as a teammate, to help figure out what’s preventing you from getting to where you want to go in life and get things back on track. I’m plain spoken and try to bring some humor into therapy but will also challenge you to help identify the thoughts or behaviors that may be keeping you from taking that next step in life.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (AR License #P1408055) I enjoy helping people work through their struggles with anger, depression, anxiety, and the effects of trauma that can all lead us to feeling stuck and hopeless. I am certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy and work with those who struggle with symptoms of PTSD. In my nearly 10 years of work in the mental health field I have worked with both adolescents and adults, individuals and families, in both inpatient and outpatient counseling settings. I am available for evenings and weekend appointments to accommodate those who work or are in school.
